I, along with my husband Don, have been a member of the BMWMOAL since October 1990. We think of our fellow members as family and love sharing our lives with all of them.

Even though we had both ridden other bikes in our earlier lives, when we were able to get back into riding Don wanted a BMW. Our first BMW was a 1989 K100 which we traded for a 1993 K1100LT. We rode that bike in all 48 states and loved it, but when the K1200GT came out Don was smitten. We purchased that bike in 2007 and it is still our primary bike. At one time I thought I wanted to ride my own bike again and purchased a K75 but after a year or so I decided I would rather sit back and enjoy the ride. So now I am very content to be co-pilot.

In 2009, we were blessed to be able to take an eight-month, 29K ride around this beautiful country of ours. We rode in 35 states, including California, Alaska (through British Columbia and Yukon Territory), Maine (with a brief side trip to New Brunswick), and then to Key West before returning home to Clayton, AL. WHAT A TRIP!!!
