Don has been riding since the late ‘60’s, his first bike was a 106cc Moto Gilera. That was followed by a succession of on and off-road bikes including a Yamaha, a Moto Guzzi and finally a 1975 Honda Gold Wing.

After a break of several years he chose to get back into riding with a BMW K100LT. In 1993 he traded up to a K1100LT, and in 2007 he fell for the K1200GT which is his main ride now.

Don and his wife, Barbara joined the Club in October 1990. They have been active in the Club and with the rally ever since. Don has been rally “sheriff” almost every year since 1991 and you can usually find him checking armbands and chasing out party crashers. Be sure to stop by and see him this year.
